Ashley Wagner is the President of Chesterfield Companies, where she leads the strategic vision and oversees operations across all three affiliated organizations. Since joining Chesterfield in 2013, Ashley has held several key leadership roles, including Insurance Services Manager for Chesterfield Insurance Agency and Vice President of Chesterfield Resources. In these roles, she managed employee benefit programs, commercial insurance placements, and the daily operations of the Health Claims, Customer Service, and Care Management departments.
Ashley is a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio, with legal experience in both the private sector and as an Assistant Attorney General in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. She earned her undergraduate degree from Kent State University and her law degree from Capital University Law School.
Ashley is committed to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to Chesterfield’s client. She resides in New Philadelphia, Ohio, with her husband, two teenage sons, and their four dogs.

He previously served as Vice President of Chesterfield Insurance Agency, where he managed daily operations and oversaw the placement of property/casualty, life, disability, and supplemental insurance products.
Phil’s expertise spans property/casualty insurance claims, loss control inspections, and commercial insurance placements. Prior to his tenure at Chesterfield, he gained valuable industry experience at both Cincinnati Insurance Company and Nationwide Insurance.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and has earned the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
Phil resides in Bolivar, Ohio, and is a proud father of four adult children and grandfather to three grandchildren.

Chad Markle has served as Chesterfield Services’ Risk Control Manager for the past decade, bringing over 20 years of experience in insurance, compliance, and safety. A member of the Risk Control department since 2007, Chad leads both the Risk Control and Driver Qualification teams, overseeing the development and implementation of policies that reduce the frequency and severity of workers’ compensation, automobile, general liability, and property claims.
Under Chad’s leadership, the Risk Control team conducts more than 1,300 site assessments annually and supports a wide range of services including property valuations, regulatory compliance (local and federal), and internal auditing. His expertise spans claim management, life safety, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
